Why this one
It started as a warm-up riff at a jam in Pisa. The drummer locked in, the bass player grinned, and the whole room pulled the face that gave this song its name. We kept playing it at soundcheck until it stopped being a warm-up.
We cut it live in one room, no click, two takes. The second take had a wrong note in the bridge. We kept it, because that’s the one where everyone was smiling.
What’s on it
The studio cut, plus the full jam from Exwide Jazz Club, solo and all, for anyone who wants to hear where it came from.
